BRACEWELL, David - With heavy hearts we have said goodbye to our Dad, Grandad, Brother, Uncle and friend David Bracewell. We will feel his absence every day, but cherish every memory we made together.
He was born in Colne, England on July 17th, 1947, and passed peacefully in Ajax, Canada on July 6th, 2025.
At the age of 77, many friends and family would describe David as the sweetest man you could ever know. He was quiet-mannered, but his love, which he shared so openly, was unmistakeable and unwavering.
David is survived by his son Craig (Heather), and grandchildren Jacob (Ashley) and Kaylee Jade. As well as by his friends in Canada, he will be dearly missed by his family across the ocean. This includes his sister Mary (Harry) and nieces and nephew Erica (Geoff), Jayne (Mark), Claire and Luke (Tina).
David was preceded in death by his loving wife Sheena, parents Ellen and Lawrence as well as his sister Ruth (Alan).
David was a family man, focused on staying connected with his loved ones while embracing new technology, and always proudly talking about those dear to him. He loved soccer (or football, depending on your side of the pond), car shows, biking around Ajax, listening to the Beatles and constructing projects, like his license-plate adorned pergola.
The family wishes to welcome friends and family to gather to celebrate David's life at Accettone Funeral Home, 384 Finley Avenue, Ajax, ON, on Saturday July 12th, 2025 from 2:00-4:00pm.

Craig Heather & Family,
It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of my Uncle Dave. He was a fantastic uncle to be around; we didn’t share the same love for sports “football” but did with music and manufacture. As an uncle he was always interested in what I was up to, and both Auntie Sheena and Uncle Dave were extremely supportive throughout the year’s, and will not be forgotten. You will be sadly missed by us all; my special thoughts are with Craig Hether & family and friends at this time. Love You Lot’s xxxxxxxx.

Uncle David, I will always be thankful how good you have been to us over the years, letting us come to visit and spend time with you, Aunty Sheena and Craig. They were the best times, full of fun and laughter. Even though I'm sure you all sighed a big relief went we went home. I'm sure it was worth it for the chocolate. Both yourself and Aunty Sheena will always be in our thoughts, love you x
