Lucille Hamparian (nee Derderian)
November 23, 1942 - December 7, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lucille Hamparian, a cherished wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who passed away on December 7, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario.
Born Lucille Derderian in Hartford, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Krikor and Rebecca Derderian and was deeply proud of her Armenian heritage, tracing her family roots to the village of Yegheki in Kharpert, Armenia. A long-time resident of the Don Mills area of Toronto, Lucille was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years.
Lucille was known for her dedication to her family and the Armenian Community of
Toronto leaving a lasting imprint on the various organizations and groups that support and preserve the culture and activities of her beloved community.
Lucille is survived by her devoted husband, Hrant (Harry) Hamparian, with whom she
shared 56 years of marriage, her son Aram, his wife Angela and her beloved grandson
Max. She leaves behind her brother, Carl (Khatchadour) Derderian, and his wife
Armenne of Watertown, MA
She was predeceased by her brothers, Roger (Hratch) Derderian (2011) and Arthur
(Ashod) Derderian Sr. (2025). She will be fondly and lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends across Canada and the United States.

Harry and Aram, I want to express my condolences on the passing of your wife/mom. Through one of her best friends, my Aunty Rita, I got to know Lucille as a straight shooter with a great sense of humor - a rare combination. That musta been the teacher in her.
May she now rest in peace after what I imagine was a difficult battle for you all.
