With deep sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of Waltraude "Trudy" Freed, who passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at 9:32 p.m., at Oshawa General Hospital, after a long and courageous journey through hospitals and care facilities. She was 81 years old. Trudy is now at peace with God. She leaves behind her three beloved sons: Marcel, Charles, and Daniel; and her cherished daughters-in-law: Diane, Carol, and Kim. She was a proud and loving grandmother (Omi) to Adam, Alexandria (Alex), Ashley, Ashley Armstrong, Christine, Johnathan, and Matt. Trudy was also surrounded throughout her life by many dear and loyal friends-too many to name, but all deeply appreciated and remembered. Trudy will be remembered for her strength, her devotion to family, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
