It is with unimaginable sorrow that we share with you the unexpected loss of our beloved, Patricia Lynn Melnychuk (nee Emmerson), of Ajax, Ontario. Pat passed away peacefully at home on May 18th, 2025 just a few days shy of her 65th birthday, and 44th wedding anniversary. She was a devoted Wife to her Husband Paul Melnychuk, a loving Mother to Kathleen McKay and Kristine Guyett, an adoring Mother-in-law to Michael Guyett, a proud Nana to Emily McKay and Grandma "milk truck" to Remi Guyett.
Pat was predeceased by her mother Joan Barker, and two sisters, Nancy Harvey and Joyce Reitsma.
Pat was a loving, kind, thoughtful woman who genuinely cared for people. She was a proud foster mother for 20 years. Pat lived her life in service of her family, and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Due to the unexpected nature of Pat’s passing her family will be honouring her in private. A donation in her memory to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
