With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Wilfred Lucius Crooks "Butch" (Montreal, Quebec), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of all of us left behind.
Wilfred left this world suddenly on March 26, 2025 at the age of 68, leaving a huge void in the lives of his family and friends.
As we bid Wilfred farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments; his energy intertwined with the fabric of heaven, forever dancing among the stars. Until we meet again.
He was predeceased by his Grandparents Wilfred Adolphus Crooks and Mertie Jessica
Crooks (Smith) Grandma Johnny Bee Hall and his parents Loucious Burks and June
Winifred Crooks.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Brenda Moses, his sons, Cori Marshall, Tevan Crooks (Cy), and Keenyn-Chae Crooks (Emily); his grandchildren Owynn Marshall, Catherine Marshall, his siblings, Merle Roberts, Anthony Burks (Miriam), Mertie Jones (Chris), and Linda Roberts (Michel); and his girlfriend, Mauricia Ambrose.
For all those who wish to join us in honouring the memory of Wilfred Lucius Crooks "Butch", the funeral service will take place at Ajax Crematorium and Visitation Centre, 384 Finley Ave, Ajax, ON L1S 2E3 from 11am-3pm.
The funeral reception will be held at his favourite hang out place, Chuck’s Roadhouse Bar & Grill (283 Kingston Rd E, Ajax, ON L1Z 0K5), and will take place immediately following the funeral service.
For all those who wish to join us in honouring the memory of Wilfred Lucius Crooks "Butch", the funeral service will take place at Accettone Funeral Home, 384 Finley Ave, Ajax, ON L1S 2E3 from 11am-3pm.

I will always remember the moments we shared during those car rides home, as he ensured I made it back before my curfew no matter what- even if he was deep asleep, he would always wake up and offer me the lift so I did not have to take the bus at night.
